Consciousness Is Electromagnetic

I took this photograph in 1999 while on a trip to San Francisco. The man in this photograph is Bill Dan and, on this day, he was displaying his gravity defying feats of ‘rock balancing’ at the Palace of Fine Arts around the columns of the rotunda.

The rotunda was originally built in 1915 for the Panama-Pacific International Exposition to exhibit works of art; it required a period of ten years of reconstruction that was completed in 1974. To this day it is a popular tourist attraction due to the fact that this is the only remaining structure from that event.

While walking around the grounds, I happened to see what looked like rocks, bricks, bottles and other items seemingly suspended in mid-air. Getting closer to the roped off area it was now evident that the objects were actually balancing, motionless, upon angled iron rods. There were also objects, like glass bottles or bricks that had other objects placed on top of them, in seemingly impossible positions, that were suspended there as well.

Bill had placed approximately thirty iron rods at various angles into the semi-soft earth all around the massive columns. It was the experience of seeing these thin, iron rods, that were themselves angled, in combination with heavy objects that were also suspended in illogical angles that made the entire area seem otherworldly.

Moreover, even despite the natural occurrences of wind or even a small bird flying by who decided to sit on the suspended objects, all remained perfectly calm; no object could be moved from its position.

Although this photograph cannot capture the experience of seeing this spectacle up close, it does capture, for me, the moment in which quantum theory became rooted in reality. And, it wasn’t just seeing this display that put me on the path to understand this phenomenon; it was also a very brief exchange of words with Bill Dan.

This photo was taken as Bill held a rock up and he had bowed his head towards it; after a few minutes, he walked over to one of the rods and placed that large rock on one of the other large rocks that was already positioned on it.

After he had finished placing the rock and he stepped away, surveyed the area, and began looking for another object to place. In that moment, I raised my hand to motion to him to see if he might come over for a minute. He did so without hesitation.

I immediately complimented him for this art installation and expressed being truly stunned by all of it. I really only had one question for him, which was, “how are you able to do this”? For a few moments, Bill sized me up before making a hand motion to lean forward. In that moment he whispered something that that he could tell me something that only made sense because of prior research into the quantum study of thought and consciousness.

He said, “I talk to the rocks and they tell me exactly where to put them so that they will have perfect balance”. He knew that I was ready to hear those words and would know that it was true; that rocks (and other inanimate objects) had consciousness that could ‘communicate’ with us as they were of the same material.

While ‘their’, the rocks' consciousness was certainly ‘asking’ for different things or ‘thinking’ creatively in ways that were much different than us, they were still ‘alive’ in their own way and ‘conscious’. Prior to seeing Bill’s object balancing, I knew this theoretically but had never seen anything quite like this.

For me, this demonstration confirmed what I had read about in ancient books regarding the Essenes of thousands of years ago. And, more profoundly, this was communication between a person and what appeared to be an absolutely inanimate object!

So, this was quantum physics exemplified in reality. Bill Dan is a very unassuming man who continues to do his rock/object balancing all over California and elsewhere.

I wrote to him several years ago to see if it would be ‘OK’ to show his videos and he was very gracious about it. Bill’s art, balancing objects, defines how electromagnetism and consciousness operate in our daily environment.

His practiced form of telepathy in a benevolent way with objects that most assume are ‘lesser’ material ‘things’ of no consequence elevates his connection with all ‘things’ animate and inanimate.

All of us, without knowing it, are consciously and unconsciously communicating with every material and immaterial object in the Universe and ‘they’ are responding to us whether we realize it or not.

Having the developed and practiced respect for ‘all things’, as Bill does, should be the goal of all human beings. It is how we heal ourselves naturally if we learn to tap into it.
